Do you use the Internet to access email, financial, shopping or health care accounts?
Have you ever filled out a form online? Perhaps when you ordered something with your credit card, completed a survey or filled out an application?
Have you felt frustrated or annoyed at the cumbersome process and delays in retrieving a lost password?
Then you’ll want to read about how to automate and simplify access to your online information so you can access your information instantly when you need it.
The Scary Thing about the Internet
Ten years ago, I was in the IT world, solving technical problems so my clients could be more effective and productive. I often needed the password to access their network or email accounts as part of my troubleshooting process.
I was always amazed at the passwords my clients gave me.
Either they were still using the default because they never bothered to change their password. Or they used the simple and obvious such as name, birth date, street address. Stuff that could easily be figured out if someone stole their identify. Even worse, they used the same password (and sometimes same user name) for all of their accounts.
Imagine using an obvious yet easy-to-remember password for most, if not all, your online accounts.
Now imagine someone stealing this information and in one fell swoop accessing all of your personal, business and financial information.
Yikes!
My Goodness, How Complex and Cumbersome It’s Become to Access Your Information Online!
Nowadays we rely more on the Internet and software to make it easier to find the information we need and to conduct various business and personal transactions. With our increasing technology reliance is the growing risk from thieves who want to steal your information.
The Good News.
Companies have responded to these threats in various ways:
- Force you to change your password at various intervals (e.g. every 60 days or 6 months)
- Require you to create ‘strong’ passwords. Typically 8 to 10 character in length using a combination of letters, numbers and symbols
- Require you to provide an answer to a security question (i.e. mother’s maiden name, favorite food)
- Require you to select a security image
- And more…
The Bad News.
With increased protection comes added complexity and a cumbersome process for YOU to get to YOUR information online. Here’s a number of ways this creates a negative online experience.
- You have multiple passwords of various lengths to comply with the differing requirements of web site owners. (Hmm, which one was it….?)
- You click “remember me” after you log into the site the first time (smart move). But….then your company or PC software deletes this “memory” causing the website to ‘forget’ you were there. (Dang it!)
- You have multiple user names so you don’t remember which name you created for which site. Some sites require you to use your email address. Others allow you to create a user name typically 4 to 8 characters in length. (what’s my name…? Arghh!)
- You forget your user name or your password. So you guess. Once. Twice. Three times. Oops, now you’re locked out of your account. Time to call customer service and prove you are who you say you are. (ouch!)
Remember, all of this started when you wanted to do just one simple task. Instantly access YOUR information online. Then you still have two more steps: review and act on the information.
Instead, you’re stuck at square one. I’ve been there.
And it shouldn’t be this hard.
Finally, A Simple Solution that Automates and Makes It Easier to Access YOUR Information Online
(while addressing security concerns)
For the past year, I’ve been using a secret weapon that has made my experience of logging into my online accounts and filling out forms very simple, seamless and with one click of a mouse.
At first I resisted. I was accustomed to the roller coaster of this inconvenience. Plus I was too busy in that moment to take the time to implement a better solution. Now how crazy was that?
Then I asked myself, “Does it makes sense to continue feeling frustrated every time I want to quickly access an account but get derailed because of a user name or password issue?”
That’s when I took action.
Before I introduce you to the tool and how to get it, let me describe how getting access to my information is now a much more positive experience.
- I’ve reduced multiple passwords to just ONE.
- I log into my various accounts easily with one click of a mouse.
- I fill out order forms online with one click of the mouse instead of repeatedly typing in my name, address, credit card every single time.
- I generate hard-to-guess passwords for added level of security. Here’s an example of a strong password: @d3y!$4qAm
- I group my passwords into folders like Bills, Travel, Health, BankAccounts.
- And more…
I’ve never had to email or call customer service. The tool just works when I need it to work. (That’s more than I can say about my computer at times).
As of this writing, I have 200 distinct user names and passwords including my various bank, investment and retirement accounts, gmail, Amazon, all my frequent flyer accounts, travel websites, wireless, home bills. That’s just the basics. The list goes on.
What’s this simple solution?
It’s Roboform. And you can evaluate it for free for 30-days.
When I need to access information or transact using one of these accounts, I simply use Roboform as my password manager and form filler.
Before Roboform, accessing my information online required me to:
Launch my browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox).
Type the address to Amazon.
Click ‘sign in’.
Type my name and password,.
Click submit.
Wait for access…
With Roboform,
Launch my web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or Firefox).
Click the login that I want, for example Amazon.
With one click, Roboform takes me to the Amazon login page, autofills my user name and password, and then submits.
Maybe it’s time you discovered the power of one-click.
Is this Solution Right for You?
Here are a couple of strategic questions to help you decide whether to act on my recommendation:
Do you want to transform your frustrating and cumbersome experience of logging into your personal accounts and filling out web forms into a simpler, one-click, secured experience?
Do you want to stop having to click “forgot user name” or “forgot password”?
If you’ve answered yes, then here’s what you do now.
Step 1 – Decide to evaluate Roboform for 30 days. There is no limit to the number of logins also known as passcards (i.e. user name + password combinations). There’s no obligation to purchase after trial period.
Step 2 – At the site, click the “Download Roboform Free 30-day Trial” . Or you can purchase a one-year license for $29.95 if you’re ready. However, I recommend starting with the free trial so you can evaluate the product yourself.
Step 3 – When prompted, click “Run” to start the installation process.
Step 4 – Use it for the next 30 days.
