Often when I am cruising events, looking for talent, I find myself, even in this day and age, surprised to find a quick, relevant note from a candidate.

Even the prospects that may have less than what I was looking for, I tend to receive a response.

We just hired someone last month, that on second look was who we did not realize we needed.  She was able to articulate our needs with believable solutions.

I hope others catch on soon: The art of good follow up is as convincing as a great resume.
